Lawn-damaging insects can be divided into two groups: insects feeding above ground and those feeding below ground. Those that feed above ground, like Sod Webworms or Chinch bugs, can severely damage your lawn, either by chewing grass plants or by sucking vital plant juices from grass blades.
Below-ground feeders, which include Grubs, devour the roots of grass plants. Although subsurface insects can be difficult to spot, their feeding habits can be quite evident, causing extensive damage to your lawn.
