2014 Home Show Schedule

Home show season is upon us! You would think , with the frigid conditions and all of that white stuff on the lawns that this would be our “slow” time. In fact, it is quite the opposite. We have been very busy getting prepared for our 2014 Home Shows. Our first home show kicked off last weekend at the Miami Valley Home Improvement Show at Hara Arena in Dayton, OH. We have had great success at this show meeting potential customers, speaking with current customers, showing off some of our new equipment, and ultimately growing our business. This is also a great event to support and network with other local vendors and businesses. Miami Valley Home Improvement Show

The 2014 Miami Valley Home Improvement Show is quickly approaching. The 2014 show will take place Thursday, January 16th to Sunday, January 19th at Hara Arena in Dayton, OH. There will be many local businesses in attendance and it is a great opportunity to get some great ideas when it comes to maintaining your home. We will showing off some of our new machinery and answering any questions you may have regarding fertilization, weed control, seeding, and aeration. Miami Valley Green Industry Professionals Winter Workshop 2013

On Wednesday, December 11th, Lawn Plus helped sponsor and was in attendance at the 2013 MVGIP Winter Workshop, held at Wegerzyn Horticultural Center in Dayton, OH. This year’s workshop included lectures and training from Randy Zondag (Commercial Horticulturist), Dr. Mary Ann Rose ( Director of Pesticide Safety Education Program), and Joe Boggs ( Assistant Professor Of Entomology) all from The Ohio State University. There were over 100 people in attendance with a wide range of local municipalities, school districts, government organizations, and universities represented. It was an excellent event and we were able to share a little bit about Lawn Plus and our services. We also introduced our partnership with Mr. Rob Yoakum, owner of Sports Field Consultants, LLC as he shared a brief synopsis of his 20+ years experience with sports turf, athletic fields, and renovation/maintenance of athletic complexes all over the world with the attendees. Ohio Turfgrass Foundation (OTF) Conference and Show 2013

Recently, five Lawn Plus employees, including myself, attended the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation (OTF) Conference and Show in Columbus, OH. This year’s show was held on December 3rd- 5th at the Greater Columbus Convention Center and featured exhibitors from all over the world as well as education from some of the top researchers and industry professionals in the country. Our employees had the opportunity to attend classes, seminars, and trainings to stay up to date on the latest technology and research in the lawn care and turfgrass industries. We also had the pleasure of networking with many vendors, colleagues, business owners, and professionals in the industry to discuss ideas and problems we face on a daily basis.
