On Wednesday, December 11th, Lawn Plus helped sponsor and was in attendance at the 2013 MVGIP Winter Workshop, held at Wegerzyn Horticultural Center in Dayton, OH. This year’s workshop included lectures and training from Randy Zondag (Commercial Horticulturist), Dr. Mary Ann Rose ( Director of Pesticide Safety Education Program), and Joe Boggs ( Assistant Professor Of Entomology) all from The Ohio State University. There were over 100 people in attendance with a wide range of local municipalities, school districts, government organizations, and universities represented. It was an excellent event and we were able to share a little bit about Lawn Plus and our services. We also introduced our partnership with Mr. Rob Yoakum, owner of Sports Field Consultants, LLC as he shared a brief synopsis of his 20+ years experience with sports turf, athletic fields, and renovation/maintenance of athletic complexes all over the world with the attendees. Rob Yoakum and Sports Field Consultants will be a huge asset to Lawn Plus and his experience will be crucial in helping local school districts, parks and recreation departments, and municipalities maintain, renovate, and improve the health and safety of their athletic fields. This year’s workshop was a huge success and many professionals in the lawn care and sports turf industry made this a great event.
